I finished printing part of the edition. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I had some difficulties, mainly due to the size. The image size is 24″ x 12″. Paper size is about 30″ x 17″. The press bed on my Ettan etching press is 36″ x 18″. That’s about as big a project the press can handle. The paper I used is a German paper called “Frankfurt”. It has a nice, wavy grain.
I’m making progress on my Alviso Adobe linocut. I’ve decided to make it 2 colors, and I’ll be cutting 2 pieces of linoleum; one for each color. This is the largest linocut print I’ve ever made; the image will measure 24″ by 12″.
It’s a brand new year, 2018. Got a lot of irons in the fire (as usual).
I’m working on a new linocut. The subject is the Alviso Adobe in Pleasanton, on Foothill Road. It’s a great park. If you’ve never been there, check it out! http://www.cityofpleasantonca.gov/gov/depts/cs/adobe/default.asp
Hope to have it done for the Pleasanton Art League’s Adobe Show, coming up this March 2, 3 and 4.

I think the combination of the trees towering over the adobe would make a great linocut.
That’s a good idea!
