Pencil drawing version

This has been a re-occurring theme with me. I’ve done several linocut versions, including my holiday card for 2018. I’ve also done a pencil drawing and a scratchboard of the subject. I’m not over it yet. Oh yeah, I started an etching plate too. Have to get back to that sometime.

It’s interesting how a single subject can keep pulling you back across linocut, scratchboard, pencil, and now an etching plate, almost like each medium reveals something the last one couldn’t. That kind of repetition isn’t stagnation so much as slowly working a motif from different angles, and I was thinking about how rare that patience is when https://neosurfcasino24.de came to mind as a contrast to how quickly most creative ideas get abandoned. The unfinished etching plate is probably the most honest part of the whole post.
